Portfolio shoot with Marissa Keltie

I’ve known Marissa Keltie for a few years and have worked with her several times as part of The Eves duo. However, this was the first time I photographed her alone. Aside from being a talented musician, Marissa is also a commercial model and a voice-over artist and was looking to update her portfolio. I love how these images turned out and I think Marissa is pleased too cause this is what she had to say about this session:

“Kris Kesiak is such an amazing photographer who I have the pleasure of working with regularly. He always manages to get the shots I’m looking for and always has a smile on his face, singing and dancing - shoots with him are lots of fun!”

I’m blushing although perhaps I should cut down on the singing, I’m not that good! Aaaanyway, the shoot took place last month at Basement49, an East End studio I use a lot and you can see some images from that day below:

There are several interesting things about this particular shoot but none more so than the fact these images were taken late February in Glasgow - scroll down, have a look and call me a liar, I won’t blame you. But it was full on sun, clear blue skies, the works. Sometimes you just get lucky (or it’s global warming). Either way, the shoot was for Dog Digital, an award winning marketing agency based in Glasgow’s city centre. They were looking for portrait images of some members of their team and wanted a contemporary, urban feel with the city of Glasgow as the backdrop. The challenge was to feature the city but without making it too obvious so we focused on lines, textures and angles. Kirsty and Stuart from I’ll Be Your Mirror were in charge of styling the shoot (and, as ever, were a dream to work with) and Beccy Goldinger took care of hair and make up. The shoot was long and took 3 days to complete but it was actually very relaxed and fun. It’s always easy when you work with nice people. Check some of the images below:

Clinetix - Be You Campaign

Clinetix is an award-winning rejuvenation clinic with locations in Bothwell and Glasgow's West End. At the end of last year, I had the pleasure of shooting their "Be You" marketing campaign promoting bespoke treatments aimed at people of various ages and walks of life. The shoot took place at 29 Glasgow and Dakota Hotel as well as outdoors on Buchanan Street. Hair and make up by Carly Gray.

Hello 2018

Had a super quiet New Year with friends in Otter Ferry and now it's back to Glasgow and back to work. Happily though, I have to say, as I always get a bit lost during the festive season - sitting on the couch, stuffing your face and doing nothing is fun for a day or two but after that, I start getting antsy. So here we are, another year over and below are some of my favourite images I took in 2017. Hope you like them too.
