Sandie Robertson

Sandie Robertson is a trainer and wellness coach whom I photographed several times in the past years. Gearing up for another photo shoot earlier this summer, Sandie decided to go beyond the usual headshot/portrait photos we had done in the past - the ever-brilliant I'll Be Your Mirror was asked to help with styling the session and Ingliston Country Club in Bishopton was chosen for its location. Given Sandie's background in all things equestrian (both as a show jumper and now as an equestrian confidence and performance coach) and her past career as a model it all made sense. Results below:

Glenelg FC Naked Calendar 2017

Glenelg is one of the smallest villages in Scotland (basically last bit of mainland before you get to the Isle of Skye), it's as remote as it is beautiful and I had the pleasure of being involved in photographing a rather unusual project there - a nude calendar for the local football team. It took 3 days, 12 locations, 16 naked men as well as quite a bit of whiskey to complete but it was all worth it and for a good cause as all proceeds from the calendar sales will go to the Glenelg Football Team for their home and away kits, training equipment, travel, etc. The final product was beautifully designed by the award-winning Graphical House and is available for purchase from glenelgteam.com as well as various shops around Glasgow and in Glenelg itself. Below you can find a short promo video and a few frames from the calendar:

Ceol's Craic

Established in 2004, Ceòl's Craic is a year-round programme of the best in contemporary Gaelic culture. I've had the pleasure of working with them for a few years now, photographing various events, from plays and book launches to music showcases at CCA. It's fun, sometimes challenging and often educational (who knew there was so much brilliant electronica in Gaelic?). Here's a collection of some of my favourite images for Ceòl's Craic:

Paul Hodgkiss Designs

Working with Paul Hodgkiss. Photographing designs by Paul Hodgkiss truly isn't a difficult task. His beautiful, unique, hand-crafted furniture pieces with variety of curves and textures are as photogenic as house fittings can get. Having captured Paul's design work at such places as The Meat Bar, Palomino and Bowmore Hotel I was commissioned to photograph his stunning, newly open showroom in Glasgow's South Side as well as the workshop where the original pieces take shape:

St. Peter's Seminary

I love shooting outdoors, am always looking for new, unusual or in any way exciting places to use as a setting and it rarely gets more exciting than the ruins of St. Peter's Seminary in Cardross. I'd read about it online and one day in the summer of 2011, singer Jill Jackson (ex Speedway), her assistant and myself went onto an exploratory trip which eventually turned into an impromptu photoshoot. We found the place to be creepy as hell, we bumped into a couple of Japanese tourists bizarrely (you won't find these ruins in your travel book, trust me) but more importantly it also turned out to be an endless photo opportunity. I've been back several times since then, most recently in May with a shoot for Channel 4, and while the place is getting more and more difficult to access it never fails to deliver and despite my numerous visits I still feel there's more to see there. Here are some images from shoots I've had there over the years:
